Clinical Approach
Is it possible to cure an incurable disease? “Incurable” means what? How do we handle such diseases?
When we think about it through an Allopathic mindset, we come across lots of such diseases, which are incurable. So what do we do in Allopathy?
Simple, we palliate/suppress them. Many times, we don’t even know the exact etiology i.e. the cause. Palliation/suppression of symptoms leads to a false sense of well being which leads to a bigger disaster later. For example, if a person is suffering from Osteo-Arthristis which is an Auto-immune disorder for which allopathy can give pain killers or steroids which will suppress the symptoms giving rise to a false sense of well being but later same medicines can give rise to stomach ulcer, hyper acidity... So now you suffer from both Osteo Arthritis as well as stomach ulcer. There are many diseases like these where the side effect of the drug is worse than the disease. So what is the solution? Well, in such cases, we have to think with non-allopathic mindset, that is HOMEOPATHY, BACH FLOWER THERAPY, NOSODE THERAPY and SARCODE THERAPY.
What about some psychological illness like Depression?
Again in such cases also, the allopathy has to offer only the suppression of symptoms. The moment the drug is stopped, the sickness comes back and the patient is back to square one. Such patients needs the best pathy in the world and that is sympathy. Such a patient needs a friend, philosopher and guide who could understand their problem as a best friend and try to solve it as a good doctor. Symptoms are the only way in which the body and mind could speak in a language that could be understood by a good doctor.
What if a patient is having Iron Deficiency Anemia or Vitamin Deficiency?
Conventional Allopathic mindset would say, load the patient with Iron tablets, more loaded better it is. So what about side effects like Diarrhea, Constipation etc.?
Now first of all, why did the patient suffer from iron deficiency? We require iron in very minimum amount, which is easily available in our food. It is because of lack of ability to assimilate iron from food that we suffer from iron deficiency. So why not set that right. It is applicable in Vitamin deficiency also.
Doctors cannot solve all the sickness; we also need a good friend to help us out. The approach towards chronic and long-term illness should be more friendly and less doctorly. Everyone has full right to come to me crying and complaining but if I am unable to put a smile on their face, I tend to lose and I don’t play to lose.
My approach towards chronic and long-term disease is different. A person suffering from long-term illness has a sense of hopelessness. The fighting spirit gets comprised and it tends to have a negative impact on mind. So we cannot treat the body and leave the mind. A patient can bless me only when he is enjoying the Good Health, which is possible only when the Mind, Body and Soul are in perfect harmony. So my approach is to bring all the three in harmony and deliver good enjoyable health and ultimately that is what matters in life. That is Perfect Deliverance of good health.
Why are we over drugging our selves when many illnesses are curable just by means of friendly advice?
For example, make necessary changes in your diet and life style and get rid of diabetes and high cholesterol.
A person falls sick only when his immune system is weak. When an immune system is weak, the infection causing bacteria/virus has an upper hand. Instead of giving antibiotics, why not correct and make our own immune system strong? What is the need of antibiotics?
Why is antibiotic resistant strain very common in bacterial and viral infection?
The antibiotics when used over a long time, gives rise to a resistant strain of bacteria/virus. This happens because bacteria/viruses have their own defense mechanism against antibiotics. Because of rampant use of antibiotics, the resistant strain of bacteria/virus is more common now. How long are we going to introduce newer antibiotic molecules? Even they become ineffective over a period of time.
Billions of dollars are spend to introduce new antibiotic molecules and it is only a matter of time before the bacteria/virus get resistant to it. 80% of antibiotics and painkillers are avoidable by adopting alternate system of medicine. It would be a huge gain if we could reduce the reliance on these toxic chemicals.
What do we loose by adapting alternate system of medicine?
NOTHING. In fact, whatever we get is just BONUS.
Let me share my own experience. In 1983, I had a problem of gumming of eyes in the morning and chronic sticky discharge coming out of eyes. Many Ophthalmologist were consulted, but of no use. Some recommended use of steroids saying it is allergic conjunctivitis, but I refrained. I was told by a senior Ophthalmologist that I should use Albucid 20% eye drops and Terramycin Eye Ointments since I was suffering from Trachoma and I did that for 10 years. If I miss it by 1 day, the symptoms would recur. It was then that I myself tried Alternate System of Medicine and to my surprise, not only my eye problem got cured but my chronic throat and sinus infection also got cured and till date I have not used any eye drops or taken any De-congestant, antibiotics or headache medicines. Also my backache and chronic Amoebiasis/Mucus Collitis got cured and till date I have had no treatment for that.
The main thing about this therapy is, it not only cures the main disease but also cures even the associated or other problems and whenever I say cure, I mean CURE that is the symptoms do not recur after stopping the medicine.
So what do you think my dear friends? Can I be your friend and help you?
I assure you whatever your problems may be; I will do my best to put a smile on your face. Your smile, your happiness will make me A GOOD DOCTOR. On the day I get a statement, “I am feeling good” from you, “I will be blessed”.
Laboratory Investigations, what role do they play?
There are two ways in which a disease could be diagnosed: - By clinical symptoms and laboratory investigations. In today’s material world, too much importance is given to laboratory investigations.
Whenever we do some blood test or any other laboratory investigations, we all know that they are not 100% reliable. There is always a chance of false positive/false negative reporting. Some diseases like Typhoid, takes almost a week to show itself in blood investigations. Malaria is also detected in blood only if the blood sample is taken in rigor state, even with that, the chances of detecting the malaria parasite is remote; hence we have to do the test again and again.
MRI and CT scan are also not 100% reliable.
The fastest, surest and most reliable are the clinical symptoms, that is the only way that the diseased person’s body can speak. I think we are unnecessarily relying too much on laboratory investigations. If laboratory investigations are supporting my clinical diagnoses, I will accept it. If not, I would only rely on my clinical diagnoses; laboratory investigations are secondary.
In case of chronic disorders like Parkinson’s disease, how do we justify repeated lab investigations? Why not rely on clinical observation?
During the course of treatment, careful clinical observation can guide us wonderfully. If the patient is improving with treatment, it is the best indication that the medicines are working effectively. What is the need of repeated laboratory investigations? It only escalates the cost of treatment tremendously.
Many patients with chronic disorders come to me with thick files, full of unnecessary laboratory investigations. Most of the time, same laboratory investigations are done again and again. If the Doctor cannot cure the patient, why the unnecessary investigations are done, which only adds to the cost of treatment and even after this, cure is never delivered.
