Introduction to Homeopathy
It was Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a brilliant doctor working in 1796 who developed the scientific and philosophical foundations of this gentler way of healing. These scientific principles form the basis of successful homeopathic practice today.
Homeopathy is a system of medicine, which is based on treating the individual with highly diluted substances given in mainly tablet, liquid and powder form, which triggers the body’s natural immunity system of healing.
Scientifically it can not yet be explained precisely how it works, but new theories in quantum physics are going some way towards shedding light on the process. What we do know is that a carefully selected homeopathic remedy acts as a trigger to the body’s healing processes setting right the debilitated immunity system.
Homeopathic remedies are a unique, potentized energy medicine, drawn from the plant, mineral and animal sources. They are diluted to such a degree that not one molecule of the original substance can be detected (after the 12c potency).
They work by gently boosting the natural immunity of the body, and are very safe, even for pregnant patients. There is no danger of addiction or toxicity.

Studying the clinical application of homeopathic medicine is based upon scientific proving. A batch of healthy volunteers are given potentize homeopathic medicine till they produce a group of mental and physical symptoms, these symptoms are meticulously recorded by the Doctor in charge and the symptoms are documented in a Repertory. All this information is used to match the remedies with your symptoms. The symptoms produced by healthy volunteers after taking potentized medicine, is called drug proving. Each and every homeopathic medicine has been proved again and again on healthy volunteers, some of them were Doctors themselves.
Preparation of Homeopathic Medicines:
The raw extract of plants and animals are made into tincture with alcohol, which form the basis of dilution process. Dilutions are made up to 1 part tincture to 100 parts water. That would be (1C potency). Repeated dilutions results in different potencies like (1C, 2C, 3C…). After each dilution the mixture is vigorously agitated in a machine that delivers a calibrated amount of shaking, it is called succession. It is through this process that the healing energy (also called vital force) of medicinal substance is transferred to body of water (the diluents).
Working of Homeopathic Medicine:
Our immunity system is continuously defending us from bacterial/viral infection by producing antibodies. When the immunity system weakens, we succumb to infection and fall sick.
